Vice President Kamala Harris tested positive for Covid-19

The American vice-president has been infected with Covid-19 and will have to isolate herself for a few days. She has not been in direct contact with Joe Biden in recent days.

Kamala Harris, Vice President of the United States, has tested positive for Covid-19. Her cabinet, which revealed the information on Tuesday, assures that she has not been in direct contact with Joe Biden in the last few days. The two leaders were indeed on the move each on their side in recent days.

“She has no symptoms, will self-isolate and continue to work from the Vice Presidential Residence,” her spokeswoman Kirsten Allen said in a statement.

Her husband contaminated in March

The latter also assured that Kamala Harris would follow the recommendations of doctors and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and that she would only return to the Mason Blanche once she tested negative.

Last March, the husband of Kamala Harris, Douglas Emhoff, had also contracted the virus. He then remained in solitary confinement, away from his wife, who had avoided contamination. In recent weeks, positive tests have multiplied in the entourage of the American president. Nancy Pelosi, leader of the Democrats in the House of Representatives, was particularly concerned.
